Helping Our Youngest Learners Take the First Step: 2026 SAISD Kindergarten Jump Start

Future-ready begins here – and we're here to support every step of the way! We understand that starting kindergarten is a big change and an important step in a student’s academic journey. That’s why we’re excited to offer our incoming kindergarten students an opportunity to “jump start” their elementary experience. Open to all incoming kindergarteners, this program helps them understand what it means to be an elementary student and feel confident and prepared. Students will explore classroom routines, learn procedures, and engage in early educational growth.

All incoming kindergarten students may apply for this limited-capacity program. Preference will be given to those with no prior school experience. Parents will be notified of enrollment or waitlist in June. If you are interested in having your incoming kindergarten student participate, please complete the appropriate form below. 

Session 1: Belaire, Bowie, Crockett, Fort Concho, Glenmore, Lamar, McGill, Santa Rita

• Dates/Times: July 16–17 and 20–21 from 8:30–11:30 a.m.
• Location: Glenmore Elementary
• To register, complete the form if your student will attend Kindergarten at Belaire, Bowie, Crockett, Fort Concho, Glenmore, Lamar, McGill or Santa Rita next year (deadline to register is Sunday, July 5th).

Session 2: Bonham, Bradford, Fannin, Goliad, Holiman, Reagan

• Dates/Times: July 16–17 and 20–21 from 8:30–11:30 a.m.
• Location: Goliad Elementary
• To register, complete the form if your student will attend Kindergarten at Bonham, Bradford, Fannin, Goliad, Holiman or Reagan next year (deadline to register is Sunday, July 5th).
